Director of Integrated Marketing

Candidates MUST have a broad and deep expertise in integrated marketing communications, brand-building and innovation.

Our client, a prestigious, non-profit organization, located in the heart of downtown Montreal is seeking an Integrated Marketing Director to strategically implement marketing operations, increasing brand awareness and driving revenue.

For over 20 years our client has been empowering entrepreneurial families internationally, through virtual libraries and special collections of videos and audio clips from an array of successful, international, entrepreneurial families. Our client has established E-Learning online courses and in-class programs addressing family business dynamics and governance issues that are distributed through institutions of higher learning and partners. The organization is constantly developing educational programs and courses to support business families and those who advise them.

Our client is seeking a self motivated, driven and results-oriented Director to apply analytic rigor to help implement established marketing strategies and increase enrolment in educational programs.

Reporting to and working with the President of the foundation, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Brand Building:

• Assist in creating and executing the brand and marketing initiatives of the foundation, maintaining a consistent brand messaging and creative executions. • Build the foundation’s brand reputation and motivate existing and prospective collaborators. • Deploy high-impact, value-added marketing campaigns ( including digital marketing stategies) that can be leveraged globally and locally. • Utilize a broad range of marketing tactics to achieve results, including online and off-line media, thought leadership, sales literature/point-of sale materials, events, promotions, etc. • Champion new and evolving creative/media venues to advance the organization’s position as a leader and innovator. Build business case to evaluate alternatives and support recommendations.

  • Business Development

• Collaborate closely with leaders of organzations who offer the educational programs. • Assist in developing new revenue sources through memberships, exhibits, sponsorships, events. • Review and edit existing promotional materials for marketing effectiveness. • Coordinate communication projects with vendors for the production of educational events, promotional materials, web site production and other collateral. • Act as the non-for-profit’s representative with the media, coordinating media interest and ensuring regular contact with targeted media.

  • Budgeting & Marketing Collateral
• Apply analytic rigor to design and drive processes for making choices on how to best invest marketing dollars and monitor results, reporting progress to the Board of Directors. • Responsible for editorial direction, design, production and distribution of all publications and coordinate the appearance of all print and electronic materials.
  • Other:

• Keep informed of development in the fields of marketing, communications and public relations, not-for-profit management and governance.


• Proven track record of success (5+ years) in marketing management, communications or public relations roles. Non-profit sector experience an asset. Experience with educational products and services also an asset. • A proven leader, that has driven change and revenue growth in recent marketing management positions. • Experience with integrated marketing communications in business-to-business and business-to- consumer environments is required. • Skilled in developing marketing strategies and plans, as well as executing tactics in a hands-on environment. • Experience in developing & managing budgets for specific organizational projects • Demonstrated successful experience writing press releases, creating and delivering presentations and negotiating with the media. • Experience in overseeing the design and production of print materials and publications. • Ability to manage multiple projects at a time • Led and implementing digital/e-commerce strategy, including social media • Designed and deployed marketing program management and measurement systems, including advertising tracking, lead management, program tracking and measurement, on-line measurement • Event marketing, promotions and sponsorships

Skills & Education Required

• Excellent verbal and written communications in English and French. Spanish would be an asset. • A TRUE DRIVER and Results oriented, motivated and pro-active professional. • Superior professionalism and judgement and strong work ethic • Excellent people skills — upbeat and enthusiastic attitude • Positive experiences working with all levels within an organization • Able to provide, take and follow direction • Proficient in Microsoft and Apple, iPad Applications • Out-of-town, overnight travel is required. Depending on projects travel could be up to 20% of the year. • Bachelor degree in business, marketing, communications or public relations.
