Primary Job Function:
Taimma is seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst to test various educational learning programs and platforms to ensure that they meet Taimma's high standards. Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, the QA Analyst will conduct quality control/quality assurance testing on our medical learning programs and on our various platforms and interfaces, including browser-based platforms, iPAD, iPhone, Android devices, LMS systems, eLearning courseware, eLearning authoring tools and web sites/CD-ROMs. The selected candidate will be responsible for reporting errors (including medical, technical, Instructional Systems Design (ISD), style guides, grammar/spelling and more) and ensuring that all issues are properly resolved. The QA Analyst is also responsible for providing input and feedback for improving the learning programs from an ISD perspective--ensuring that it meets the students' learning objectives.
Job description:
• Proofreads eLearning courseware, eLearning authoring tools, web site/CD-ROM at BETA and GOLD stages against the storyboard and/or script and/or style guides
• Checks for inaccurate or missing content/graphics, incorrect placement of content/graphics, typographical errors in content/graphics, improper formatting of text
• Beta-tests eLearning courseware, eLearning authoring tools, web site/CD-ROM at BETA and GOLD stages to ensure that these products are fully functional. Reports all bugs to the Project Managers or Product Development Team
• Verifies that eLearning courseware, eLearning authoring tools, web site/CD-ROM complies with clients' technical specifications
• Performs browser compatibility and cross-platform testing on all products
• Performs Learning Management System (LMS) compliance compatibility and interpolation communication tests based on eLearning standard (e.g.: SCORM 1.0, SCORM 1.2, SCORM 2004, AICC, or custom communications standard) testing on all products
• Prepares quality control reports itemizing corrections of content (texts), graphics, and programming functions and/or communication standards
• Prepares certification documents -- prepares hard copy page proofs when required for clients
• Assists Project Managers with project testing coordination when required
• May be expected to assist with software training for clients as well as providing technical support
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must meet the following conditions to be considered for this position:
• Possess excellent English communication skills (oral and written)
• Knowledge of advanced medical terminology and concepts
• Very comfortable using and learning new technologies
• Is able to meet extremely tight deadlines (must be able to work overtime, when necessary)
• Must be able to work under pressure
• Must be very meticulous, thorough and detail-oriented
• Must be a team player
• Must be open to constructive criticism
• Knowledge of eLearning standards such as SCORM, AICC, and Learning Management Systems
• Knowledge of iPAD/iPhone/Android devices and iTunes
• Computer skills: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe and more
• Proofreading, copyediting, and writing experience
• Knowledge of design, ISD and storyboarding processes
• Be a versatile and dynamic individual who can wear many different hats
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in medical/scientific preferred
